Watch Glass is very important Watch Parts for a watch. it prevents the dust and dirt to the Watch Dial and it is the window for watch. there are 3 types of glass in the market now. 1. acrylic material for children watch. 2. Hardened Mineral Glass, for most watches. 3. sapphire crystal, high-end watch and mechanical watch. Mostly the shape of glass are round. some in oval, tonneau, cushion or avant-Garde acc to the Watch Case shape or watch bezels.There are several kinds of watch glasses
1. Flat, it is cheapest. and 80% in flat glass.
2. Single-domed watch glass.
3. Double-domed, higher dome, more expensive cost. mainly for Mechanical Automatic Watch.
4. pot cover. for Classic Watch in Pot cover Watch Dial, Bent Watch Hands then glass in pot cover too.
Sapphire crystal can be in any shape for watch glass, Mainly in Flat, single-domed, or double-domed, some designs will be like Pie Pan shape as below. it is more expensive in cost. depends on how height for Glass. and to increase the transparancy and reduce the reflection. so we do the 3-5 layer AR coating on the bottom of watch glass
